DB Energy and ING join forces for industrial decarbonization – ESG and financial support

DB Energy and ING Bank Śląski are joining forces to support industry in the energy transition. As part of the partnership, we offer companies comprehensive support: from energy audits and ESG strategies, through access to investment financing, to industry education. This is a concrete response to the challenges of decarbonization and an opportunity to significantly reduce energy costs and enhance business competitiveness.

Why has decarbonization become a priority for industry?

According to an EY report, more than half of medium and large enterprises in Poland have recorded an increase in energy bills of over 50%, and for 34% of companies, energy costs have doubled. At the same time, as many as 90% of companies in the industrial sector indicate that rising energy costs pose a serious threat to their profitability.

In this reality, activities in the field of energy efficiency and decarbonization are becoming a key element in building companies’ competitiveness. The new cooperation between DB Energy and ING responds to this need by offering both expert energy consulting and financial instruments enabling the implementation of green investments.

Audit, ESG strategy, financing – three pillars of support

The joint initiative of DB Energy and ING Bank Śląski focuses on three main pillars:

  • developing and implementing ESG strategies tailored to the specifics of industrial enterprises,
  • operational support in implementing investments that improve energy efficiency,
  • educational activities – including workshops and webinars for companies interested in the energy transition and climate neutrality.

Education and workshops – raising awareness of the transition

DB Energy brings to the partnership over 15 years of experience in implementing energy efficiency projects for industry – from energy audits and energy consumption optimization, through the design of low-emission solutions, to comprehensive investment implementation as a general contractor (EPC) and in the ESCO model with financing.

ING Bank Śląski, on the other hand, offers its corporate clients financial products supporting the green transition – including ESG loans, financing for renewable energy investments, and leasing of low-emission technologies.

Energy transition of industry – shared responsibility and concrete actions

The cooperation between DB Energy and ING is not just about declarations – workshops, training sessions, and educational activities are already being planned for industrial companies that want to actively implement ESG strategies, improve energy efficiency, and take advantage of available support mechanisms and financing for the transition.
