DB Energy – Partner of the 2024 Poland Chemistry Congress – zero emissions in practice
June 6–7 2024, DB Energy participated in the 11th Poland Chemistry Congress as an Event Partner. During our presentation on the EXPO Stage, we demonstrated how it is possible to move from “it can’t be done” to achieving real emission reductions of 70% in the chemical industry – using our project at a plant in Jiangmen, China, as an example.
Zero emissions in the chemical industry in practice – our presentation at the congress
The 11th edition of the Poland Chemistry Congress, organized by the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry, took place on June 6–7, 2024, in Warsaw. The event brought together over one thousand participants – representatives of companies, institutions, and experts shaping the future of the chemical industry in Poland and Europe.
DB Energy had the honor of serving as an Event Partner, supporting substantive discussions on energy transition, climate regulations, and investment strategies for the chemical industry.
During the conference, Przemysław Kurylas, Chief Operating Officer of DB Energy, took the EXPO Stage with the presentation: “From ‘It can’t be done’ to ‘Maybe it can!’ – greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 70%”.
We presented a case study from a client’s plant in Jiangmen (China) – part of a global group, a leader in battery and critical raw material recycling. Our project demonstrated that even in energy-intensive processes, it is possible to achieve deep emission reductions through the application of a zero-emission strategy and precise technological optimization.
The congress as a venue for key debates
on the future of the industry
During the two intensive days of the Congress, panels and presentations took place in parallel on two stages, featuring industry leaders: BASF, Qemetica (Ciech), PCC Rokita, as well as representatives of regulators and institutions. Topics discussed included:
- energy transition in the chemical sector,
- European regulations and their impact on competitiveness,
- investments and new technologies,
- the role of energy efficiency in ESG strategies.
Participation in the Poland Chemistry Congress confirms our commitment to the development of the sector and to supporting industrial clients in achieving ambitious decarbonization goals.
