PLN 20 million of annual savings - DB Energy retrofits the CHP plant for Schumacher Packaging in Myszków

DB Energy has extended the contract for the comprehensive retrofit of the CHP plant for Schumacher Packaging in Myszków - an annex has just been signed for the second stage of the project. The investment of PLN 17.2 million will have been completed by Q4 2022. It is conducted in the General Contractor model.

PEP2040 - potentian and challenges

The Energy Policy of Poland until 2040 (PEP 2040), adopted by the government, recognises the improvement of energy efficiency (EE) as one of 8 specific objectives for the transformation of the economy towards low-carbon. The implementation of PEP 2040 may become an economic stimulus for many domestic industries, and the potential to improve energy efficiency in Polish industry is still enormous and does not always need capital-intensive technologies. Implementation of the company's development strategy

The General Meeting of Shareholders of DB Energy adopted a resolution on the issue of shares and transition to the Warsaw Stock Exchange Main Market. The Company wants to increase its share capital by issuing up to 415.000 Series D ordinary bearer shares, i.e. a 12% dispersion. The final decision belongs to the Management Board of the company.

DB Energy executes the first ESCO project under partnership with Susi Partners AG - Investment for EUR 6,3 million in improving energy efficiency for malting Soufflet Polska Sp. z o.o.

DB Energy has signed an agreement for the implementation of a comprehensive energy efficiency project for Słodownia Soufflet Polska sp. z o.o., an agri-food company. The investment worth EUR 6,3 million includes the development and installation of a cogeneration system, cooperating with process heat recovery for the needs of the Poznań plant. The agreement will be executed in the ESCO model financed from the first utilisation of the EUR 20 million ESCO facility agreed between DB Energy and SUSI Partners AG. The remuneration due to DB Energy for the settlement of the project - payable over 10 years - will be generated from the cost savings generated for the customer. The project will reduce CO₂ emissions by 9.5 thousand tonnes per annum, which corresponds to the annual average emission of over 1.5 thousand residential homes in Poland.

ESCO Energy Efficiency breakthrough: DB Energy SA partners with SUSI Partners - first ESCO financing strategy in Poland

DB Energy has signed an agreement to finance energy efficiency projects in the ESCO model for industrial customers. The partner is a Swiss infrastructure fund manager, SUSI Partners, which specialises in sustainable investments supporting the energy transition. SUSI Partners will enable the financing of projects with a total value of at least EUR 20 million by the end of 2023. DB Energy plans further dynamic growth in the energy investment segment of the ESCO market in Poland. At present, the company has nearly 30 identified investment projects worth approximately EUR 40 million.
